Tentative Itinerary
On arrival, meet local representative at Belgrade Airport and transfer to hotel. Check-in at 1400 hrs (breakfast not included). The rest of the day is free for leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Belgrade
Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy Belgrade panoramic and walking city tour (3-4 hours): Exploring Belgrade fortress and centre of the city on a walking tour. Visiting the Belgrade fortress, surrounded by attractive Kalemegdan Park and Victor monument - a symbol of the city. From here we are heading to the French Embassy with its special marble architecture, then to the Patriarchate and one of the oldest churches in Belgrade – Orthodox Cathedral Church. This part of the city is historical core. Opportunity to see: the oldest tavern in Belgrade named the Question Mark, The Residence of Princess Ljubica, first primary school in Belgrade named after The King Peter I, the most famous pedestrian zone - Knez Mihailova street, The National Museum and The National Theatre, Republic Square, the monument of Prince Mihailo and other very interesting legacy of the past that have shaped an interesting city, through a mixture of different cultures and influences. Free time for lunch & visit to Nikola Tesla (4-5 hours) – the genius who lit the world - Get acquainted with life and contributions of eccentric Serbian-American scientist who made many Inventions in the areas of AC current, electrical motors, electrical distribution, remote control, low and high frequency waves, radio, radar and even death rays. Learn more about great scientist. Visit unique Tesla Museum in Belgrade, try to find solutions in Tesla escape room and be honored with Tesla favourite refreshment. Transfer to hotel. Petrovaradin Fortress – The Fortress located across the Danube overlooking Novi Sad because of its strategic role through the centuries has long been known as the “Gibraltar of the Danube”. Today it is a town museum. Fruška Gora is often compared to Sveta Gora (Holy Mountain) for its impressive complex of Serbian medieval monasteries of great beauty and priceless spiritual value. Ever since late middle ages, thick forests of Fruška Gora, protected by a mighty river Danube, offered shelter to Serbian spirituality, art and culture.. Seventeen monasteries on Fruška Gora make a unique collection of densely distributed shrines built during a time span from 15th until 17th century as Serbian royal families’ endowments. Monasteries on Fruška Gora are guardians of Serbian religion, tradition and customs, but they are also unique monuments of Serbian artistic creativity from the Middle Ages. The town of Sremski Karlovci combines: history, religion, wine and beauty. It stood as the cultural, political and religious center of the Serbian people in the Austro-Hungarian Empire for two full centuries. This baroque town is a former seat of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the Habsburg Monarchy. The town is also well known for wine, one variety being absolutely unique in the World – the Bermet. COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES
- PCR Test within the last 72 hours before departure is required. Upon arrival, a PCR test at the border is required.
